Petra L Láncos has been a Lecturer at the Pázmány Péter Catholic University Faculty of Law and Political Sciences in Budapest since 2005, where she works as an Assistant Professor as of 2012. She attended the human rights course of the International Institute of Human Rights in Strasbourg, between 2006 and 2007, she worked as a research fellow at the Max-Planck-Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, Germany. She received her LLM degree in European Law and Comparative Law at the Andrássy Gyula Deutschsprachige Universität in 2006, and a PhD degree in law at the Pázmány Péter Catholic University in 2012. She holds two diplomas in conference interpreting (Budapest Technical University, Université Marc Bloch). Her principal research covers European public law, in particular language policy, human rights, academic freedom and media regulation. She is the author of numerous articles in Hungarian, English, and German.
